Hi, I’m Trudy, a passionate Navigator who’s moved home to New Zealand after nearly twenty years overseas.
While I am new to the audiology industry, I have many years' experience in healthcare. I believe empathy, effective communication and transparency are key to building trust and I love supporting people wherever they are on their healthcare journey and making sure they are treated with dignity and respect.
My career has taken me across to the United States, where I worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), primarily in Primary Care and Geriatrics, and in an Assisted Living/Memory Care facility for nearly 5 years. I have been involved in extensive healthcare outreach, education, and advocacy in the Hospice sector, with a primary focus on the veteran population, working closely with community partners and the VA Healthcare System.
When I moved back to New Zealand in January 2025, I knew I wanted to continue working with people from all walks of life. I noticed that Resonate was building a new studio in Wellington Central, and I was extremely excited at the thought of being part of a company that is positively transforming the healthcare industry by providing accessible solutions to those who need it most.
As a Navigator, I love being able to connect with our community and make my customers feel comfortable and supported. Nothing beats the moment when someone gets fitted with hearing devices and tells us how much they have changed their quality of life.
I never back down from new challenges that help me grow! In the future, I look forward to enrolling in my training to become an Audiometrist, so I can continue building on my skills and knowledge and make a positive impact on more people's lives.
Outside of work, I love travelling, photography, and listening to live music. Nothing beats a good road trip, and I’m excited to be back in New Zealand and discover new corners of the country I haven’t seen before. I’m also fortunate to have attended many live shows over the years, including Elton John, Bruce Springsteen and the Foo Fighters! So, I’m hoping to see some great acts here, too.
