Can any hearing clinic conduct the Ear360 service?

What is the nature of the follow-up once the Ear360 results are known?

Since the assessment includes sleep, balance and memory in addition to all of the key auditory elements, our recommendations will be fully personalised to your individual needs and circumstances. Your hearing healthcare is our priority.

Why does the Ear360 service cover so many elements?

What if I find I just don’t like wearing hearing aids?

Our supportive staff will help you 100% through the adjustment stage but we have a ‘no questions asked’ policy if you eventually decide you’d like to return your ReSound Nexia™ Rechargeable hearing aids.

How long should I carry on with trying to ignore my partial hearing loss?

The sooner you reach out for professional advice, the better for your overall health as well as your hearing. We now have irrefutable evidence of the link between hearing loss and healthy ageing. For example, a mild hearing loss doubles your risk of dementia.

Is it time-consuming to get hearing aids sorted and fitted?

Not at all. We have created a seamless journey where you can walk in and walk out with hearing aids on the day. We can do this, unlike other hearing care providers, because we put our customers at the heart of our business model. Once fitted, you can enjoy as much follow-up support as you need.

Why does Resonate not offer a wide range of different hearing aids?

We only want to offer the best hearing solution on the market – and we’re confident that our sustained research into the latest audio technology has found it in ReSound Nexia™ Rechargeable. By offering one type of hearing aid it also means that our audiologists are experts in the fitting and follow up of your hearing aid. Recent research confirms that audiological outcomes have been improved by a focus on a single product offering versus multiple brands and types.

What happens if my top notch/premium hearing aids get wet?

Our hearing aids are IP68 rated. This does not mean that we recommend diving or swimming while wearing your ReSound Nexia™ Rechargeable hearing aids. In the event that you do get your hearing aids thoroughly wet, contact us immediately for further advice.

What if it takes me ages to get used to wearing hearing aids?

You’re guaranteed our full and constant support, either in person or online, no matter how long (or short) your transition time proves to be. We’re here to help you get the most out of your hearing aids – and the enjoyment of a much richer life as a result.

What if I lose my hearing aids?

Don’t worry. We are here to help and make sure you get the support you need as quickly as possible. Contact your Resonate team and let them know. They will guide you through the process and can set you up with a temporary device while you wait on the outcome.

Would I be eligible for ACC funding?

You may be eligible for ACC funding towards hearing aids if your hearing loss was caused by working in a noisy job or a sudden accident that has damaged your hearing. Your Resonate Audiologist will assess your hearing and discuss if you are eligible to apply for ACC funding and explain the next steps. We provide a fully funded option regardless of your ACC funding level, or you can subscribe to our ACC assisted unlimited subscription which is $49 per month. Will the Whaikaha Ministry of Disabled People help me pay for hearing aids?

All adults over 16 years old living in New Zealand with permanent hearing loss who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents and who do not qualify for funding from other sources are eligible for a subsidy of $511 per hearing aid once every six years. The Whaikaha Ministry of Disabled People have two types of funding for hearing aids: the Hearing Aid Funding Scheme and the Hearing Aid Subsidy Scheme. How much will my new hearing aids cost after any government subsidy is applied?

With your Unlimited subscription, we provide the best quality hearing aids at the best value in NZ, guaranteed. Our pricing is transparent and available in various sections of our website. Your $90 per month subscription includes the Whaikaha Ministry of Disabled People hearing aid subsidy which is valued at $1,022 (for two hearing aids). If you are not eligible for the hearing aid subsidy, you can still access the $90 per month subscription, by making a one-time payment of $1,022 at the time of your fitting.

What charges are associated with my Unlimited subscription?

Your subscription ($90 per month, subject to subsidy) will begin after your first month of use. We guarantee that you will have no further expenses associated with your hearing aids or follow-up appointments. This includes all fitting fees, appointments, repairs, maintenance, tubes/receivers, and domes (on a fair usage policy). Fair usage means you follow our instructions to maintain your hearing aids and you require no more than the average customer. In circumstances where there is any doubt, we will always work with you for the best solution. We only prescribe rechargeable hearing aids so there are no battery costs associated with your subscription.

Why would I subscribe to hearing aids versus buying them outright?

Resonate’s subscription service is a new way of investing in your journey towards healthy ageing. Our road to healthy ageing is ongoing and will continue to evolve as we get older. Does the $3 per day get locked in for life?

We are committed to keeping better hearing accessible to every New Zealander. Although it is not possible to guarantee the price, the more people that subscribe, the more likely it is that we can keep the price at $3 a day.

What happens if my subscription payments bounce?

We know these things can happen, so don’t worry. You will have full control over your payment details in your dashboard when you sign up with us, so if this does happen, you can easily change or update payment details and access other account management features online. Does the subscription include batteries?

Our best-in-class hearing aids come with rechargeability, so there is no need to worry about changing batteries at an inconvenient time. Rechargeable hearing aids hold a longer charge which is great for daily streaming and enhanced connectivity features. Who is (GN) ReSound?

ReSound is part of The GN Group, based in Ballerup, Denmark, developing and making hearing aids. Is there a limit to the number of parts/components I can replace for free?

Your best-in-class hearing aid will come with a manufacturer’s warranty of three years to cover any unexpected faults, such as a mechanical breakdown or faulty parts. Consumables are included in your subscription and provided as part of a Fair Use policy.

What happens if I need support whilst travelling or being overseas?

We can support you with your hearing aids wherever you are, using an internet connection and ReSound’s Smart 3D app. We can fine-tune, adjust and update your devices quickly and easily, saving you from having to travel to a studio. Find out more
