Hearing loss and dementia. Is there a link?

Many research studies have found that people who have hearing loss but do not wear hearing aids have a significantly higher risk of developing dementia than people who have normal hearing or have hearing loss and use hearing aids. One particular study conducted with nearly 38,000 elderly Australian men revealed a 69% higher likelihood of dementia in those who reported having a hearing loss. Find out more.
