Navigator

Nelya Panina

Hello, I'm Nellie, the Navigator at Resonate Cambridge. I’m originally from Ukraine and have been in New Zealand since 2009.

I've been in the hearing healthcare industry since early 2024. Before joining Resonate, I worked for a global media agency. While I enjoyed the role, I realised I wanted more people connections in my day-to-day work. From a young age, I’d always imagined myself in the medical field in some way, so moving into audiology felt like the perfect step. In fact, it’s been even more rewarding than I expected. I’ll never forget the moment a customer told me after their fitting that they “felt alive again.” That was when I knew I was in the right place!

The most rewarding part of my job is seeing the impact hearing care has on someone’s life. I love making genuine connections, helping people feel at home, and supporting them to reconnect with their families, communities, and hobbies. I also take great pride in my work and I’m currently studying towards becoming an audiometrist, which I’m really excited about, as it will give me even more tools to care for our customers.

Outside of work, I am an avid reader and love biographies, historical fiction, non-fiction, and the occasional fantasy novel. I also enjoy art, playing the guitar, and you'll often catch me at the gym after work. I am a bit of a traveller at heart too, always thinking of where my next adventure could take me, so it's handy that I'm a polyglot!
