Hi! I’m Monique, the audiologist at Resonate Health Richmond. I was born and bred in Timaru, but moved up to sunny Nelson after completing my Master of Audiology at the University of Canterbury in 2019.  

My father and brother are audio engineers, so growing up, I spent a lot of time learning about all things related to sound. I also have a passion for helping others and healthcare in general, so audiology seemed like the perfect fit.

The best part of my job as an audiologist is seeing how life-changing it can be to improve someone's hearing health. One of my favourite memories from my career was helping a husband and wife save their marriage after years of miscommunication and not hearing each other clearly. It’s genuinely heartwarming to see the difference our services can make to people’s overall health, wellbeing, and connection to others.

Outside of work, I’m a bit of a bookworm, and I love travelling all over the place! I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family, exercising and my partner and I have a house and two wild fur babies that keep us busy!
