Audiologist

Min Shin

I was drawn to audiology because I wanted a career where I could make a real difference in people’s quality of life. Hearing and ear health plays a vital role in communication, relationships, and overall wellbeing. I joined Resonate because they have and are continuing to revolutionise hearing and ear healthcare in New Zealand. Resonates holistic approach to healthy ageing, focusing on the connection between our hearing and the wider aspects of our health, such as sleep, memory/cognition, balance and tinnitus.

Technology has also always been one of my fortes and audiology offers a blend of technology, science and customer care, all of which are dear to me. The best part of my job is being able to make hearing healthcare more accessible and having the freedom to fit top-of-the-range hearing devices through our subscription service. I’ve seen how having the right support can transform a person's life, and I find helping someone reconnect with the world around them – whether it’s through hearing devices or education – is incredibly rewarding.
