Hi, I’m Mardene, a passionate audiologist with a heart for helping people hear and live better.  

I have over 20 years of experience in the industry, but I’ve always been an audiologist at heart; I knew from the start this was my calling.

Hearing care is personal, and I believe that everyone deserves an audiologist who makes it as simple and positive as possible. My priority is making sure our customers have the support they need to feel empowered throughout their healthy ageing journey and get the most out of their hearing devices.

I began my career in South Africa, where I worked in the public sector and successfully managed a local community clinic for seven years. After moving to New Zealand, I was the area and regional manager for one of the country's largest audiology providers before stepping into my dream role at Resonate in 2023.

I joined Resonate to bring my passion for people to life in a more meaningful way. The best part of my job is seeing the huge impact improving someone's hearing can have on their quality of life, and hearing someone say, “I love wearing my devices.”  

Outside of work, I’m a proud mum to two teens and a uni student, wife to a wonderfully supportive husband, and a big animal lover who believes life’s better with a bit of chaos and a lot of heart.
