Hi my name is Kent! I’ve been an audiologist in the Waikato since graduating in 2020, and what I love most about my work is bringing the joy of sound back to people.

Nothing beats the look of surprise you see when someone realises just how much sound they’ve been missing. Being able to hear the world around you again is enriching!

I became an audiologist because I wanted a career where I could genuinely help people. As someone who’s always been passionate about “all things noisy,” audiology was a no-brainer for me!

While studying audio production at university, I spent much of my time working in event and post-production audio, DJing in clubs, and playing in cover bands. After completing my degree, I decided to keep following my love of sound and pursue postgraduate study in audiology. I’ve never looked back!

I joined Resonate because I felt completely dissatisfied with traditional audiology. The reason I became an audiologist was to help people, and I couldn't help but feel like the retail side of the industry was overtaking healthcare and doing what’s right for our customers. When I saw what Resonate was doing, I could see it was a company built on serving people, not selling to them. Joining the team has been the best decision of my career.

Outside of work, I’m a bit of a serial hobbyist and my interests are extremely varied. Right now, I spend a good amount of time producing electronic music, and and in the outdoors trail running and rock climbing.
