How much do hearing aids cost?
In New Zealand, a good quality hearing aid can cost between $4,000 and $10,000+, depending on the level of technology. The price difference usually comes down to:
- How well the hearing aid automatically adapts to your listening environment
- Background noise management, helping you focus on the sounds you want to hear while reducing those you don’t
- Rechargeability
- Bluetooth streaming
Higher-end models may also include features such as:
- AI-driven sound processing
- Smaller, more discreet designs
Is there a cheaper way to get hearing aids?
While premium technology can significantly improve your quality of life, the price of hearing aids is a barrier for many people, especially as the cost of living is already so high.
That’s why we’re on a mission to democratise hearing healthcare, so more Kiwis can access the support they deserve.
Unlimited by Resonate is New Zealand’s only hearing aid subscription service. Instead of paying a big lump sum up front, you’ll receive a pair of ReSound Vivia™ 9s, the world’s smallest rechargeable AI-driven hearing aids, for just $90 per month.
