Ruth Marumaru

I began my Audiology journey after being diagnosed with hearing loss and getting hearing aids in my late 20’s. This ignited an interest in Why Me? and how the hearing system works. I started working for the Hearing Association in Whanganui in 2000 and then moved into National Hearing Care in 2009. I was fortunate to be able to complete my Audiometry Diploma and subsequent NZAS certification while working in the industry.

I moved to Resonate Health in early 2025 . I absolutely love being part of the Resonate Dream Team as the Values and unique way of doing Audiology in NZ is exactly why I was keen to do my qualification – Customer focussed and Service centred. I love working in an environment helping customers enjoy the benefits of better hearing. It gives me immense pleasure being able to help other hearing-impaired people into hearing aids and restore there ability to communicate with family and friends.

Outside of work I live in Whanganui near family and get to enjoy being part of my grandchildren’s lives. I am very lucky to still be able to ride horses and enjoy being with friends.
