Hi there, I’m Hayley and I’m the navigator in our Palmerston North Studio. I joined the audiology industry at the beginning of 2024 and very quickly developed an interest and passion for hearing health. The most rewarding part of my work is making a positive difference by helping people live their lives to the fullest.
I’m particularly passionate about hearing health awareness, as I believe it’s extremely important for people to understand how hearing can impact their wider health and wellbeing. One thing I wish more people knew is how closely hearing loss is linked to other aspects of health, including balance, sleep, memory, cognitive function, and even dementia. My advice to anyone unsure about having their hearing tested is that there’s no harm in doing it. It’s a great way to establish a baseline for the future, so the earlier, the better!
I joined Resonate because I was drawn to the inclusive and friendly environment, which stood out as different from others. Compared to other places I’ve worked, Resonate has such a unique approach, with a strong focus on inclusivity, transparency, and openness, without hidden agendas. The workplace culture is amazing, supportive, encouraging, and genuinely positive. I feel most proud at work when I’m able to help others; seeing the impact I can make, whether through a smile or even tears, is incredibly meaningful to me.
Outside of work, I’m a creative person who enjoys making and creating in different ways, whether that’s drawing, painting, cooking, or baking. I also love gardening and have filled my space with indoor plants, which brings me a lot of joy. In my downtime, I enjoy relaxing in the garden with my cat and a good book, listening to music, and getting out to the beach or spending time in nature.
